Bellingham will host its first St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Bellingham on Saturday, March 13.
It’s being put together by a volunteer group headed by the folks at one of our favorite breweries, Boundary Bay.
The parade starts at noon on the 13th following the annual Runnin’ O’ the Green Race and Fun Run.
You can get more details about the event on Boundary Bay’s blog.

The Northwest Flower and Garden show runs Feb. 3-7 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in downtown Seattle, but if you buy tickets by Feb. 2, you’ll save $4 on the admission price.
The 22nd annual show’s theme is “Beauty and Functionality,” capitalizing on the buzz around the new catchword “sustainability.” The show also includes more family-friendly attractions, including a butterfly house and a “Sproutopia” children’s area.
You can buy tickets at more than 75 local nurseries or online.
If you wait until the show, tickets will cost you $20 at the door.
